Pastor Eddie Sun

Eddie, Chloe, Jed

Eddie was born in Taipei, Taiwan. At age seven, he and his family immigrated to the United States where they eventually settled in the San Francisco Bay area. They attended a church in the area where he grew up in the youth group. He made a decision to receive Christ during the summer of 1983 at a youth retreat. He then experienced some high school rebelliousness, but rededicated his life to the Lord his first year in college. He became involved in serving as an advisor in the youth group and as a worship team leader at his home church and on his college campus. Upon his graduation from college, he continued serving while working for a start-up computer company in Silicon Valley.

Eddie met his wife, Chloe, at a church retreat right before heading off to seminary in Dallas, Texas. They were married after a 2-year long distance relationship. Upon graduation from seminary, they returned to his home church in the Bay Area where he served as a youth pastor. Their son Jedidiah(the Jedi) was born in Fremont during that year.

In 1999, they moved down to Southern California where Eddie began serving as the pastor of English ministries at EFC Alhambra. He was ordained by the EFC denomination in 2002. Eddie transferred to Harvest Los Angeles (an English ministry of EFC Los Angeles) in 2005 where he now serves as a Pastor.

Eddie likes to drink coffee, to watch movies, computer gaming, snowboarding, and modified cars. He would like to have a car collection like Jay Leno, but would have to settle for his extensive Hot Wheels collection.
